On the spur of the moment, I took a walk at the marina this evening. It was lovely. A group of bicyclists were gathered at one of the gazebos, laughing and discussing where they were off to next. A couple of groups were busy preparing food at the covered picnic table areas and somebody sure knows how to cook some good smelling hamburgers!
A little sparkly-eyed girl gave me a smile as big as the balloon she was holding. At another bench the parents of five-month old A.J. were taking pictures of him. No, I didn’t know them before I met them. I talk to everyone. I am often told that I “don’t know a stranger”. I believe that. I feel very lucky in that. I meet the most wonderful people. One day I will tell you about meeting Ann Clancy in Ireland.
I am always interested in the names that people give their boats. I saw “Cease Fire” (maybe they sailed from Somalia), Afrodisiac (I know, but really, that’s how it was spelled) and my favorite of the day, “Hunky Dory”. That just about says it all.
I love my life. I hope you’re loving yours, too.
