TODAY’S MAGIC is brought to you by the letter A.
I love words, and of course, words are made from letters, which I also love, especially when they are alphabetically expressed. There is something fascinating about going from A to Z within a chosen topic. Can’t get to sleep and you really, REALLY, need to get to sleep. Think of a topic (bodies of water, fruit and veg, animals, whatever) and start, “A = Atlantic, B = Baltic, C = Caspian, D = delta) and I bet before you get to N (Nile) you will be asleep.
During my recent jaunt to Paris, I was gifted with a thought, an idea, a brainstorm, to create a Word-A-Day* post, alphabetically. Woo-Hoo, sounds like fun. Then I thought it would also be fun to add a little illustration. Words and art = YES! Here goes.
It is what this world is all about. Look around, it is everywhere. Blades of grass, authors, raindrops, ideas, smiles, insects, puppies, toothpaste options (WHY so many? I can’t keep up.) Napkins. (You don’t need THAT many, plus there are probably some at the table.) Airlines. Socks. (Don’t believe it? Go look in your sock drawer.) Gum and mints. (Mints, especially in Singapore where the act of chewing gum is illegal. In public anyway.) And stop and think about this one: LOVE. Think there is a shortage of love? Nope, not so. Look within. See that reservoir? Open the flood gates, give out with that love, let if flow like a mighty river. There is so much more than enough. There is an abundance of love, but to experience it you have to share it.
I could go on and on, and often do, but I believe I made my point, abundantly.
Life is good. Love one another.
P.S. Thank you, Kimberly Wilson. I wouldn’t be sitting here right now, writing now, if not for your encouragement and love. Please give yourself a hug from me.
*About that “a day” thing…. eh, probably more like…. well, let’s wait and see.
